My Free #webseries Tip on #webserieswed - Number Your Days!

When you have your script done - as in written, re-written, re-written based on notes, re-written based on a table read or two - DONE!  Number your days.

Look at each episode in your season, let’s say you have six of them, and figure how many days in the story are in your script.  Example, in our season one, we had six episodes that were four days in story-time.

I then go through the script and add a day count number to every slugline in the entire script:

INT. MARTY FIVE’S CASTLE - NIGHT (DAY 3)

You can then break down how many different days of clothing you need and when you’re shooting out of sequence, like we did, you can just look at the clothes listed by day in your production notes and know what’s needed.  As can your actors, who in the case of “Vampire Mob” were wearing their own clothes.

And that’s my web series tip!
